As they were arrested, Elena, her son Mario and her brother Abramo, they were able to show their dignity of human beings. Elena was ready to share her son’s fate, whatever it was. They got to Auschwitz death camp by the same train. Abramo, caught in a raid in a downtown club, was detained and then deported; he arrived in Auschwitz with David, his brother. They never returned. Elena follows her son. Abramo follows his younger brother.
