From 17 June to 10 October, Leonardo Meoni's exhibition conceived specifically for the spaces of the Bardini Museum, entitled Gli altri colori, purtroppo, sono tutti caduti. The project, curated by Sergio Risaliti and organised by the Museo Novecento in collaboration with Amanita, hosts a selection of works conceived specifically for the exhibition rooms of the Bardini Museum in close dialogue with the collection of the Florentine antiquarian and connoisseur.
The title is clearly a reference to the fresco technique, the poor conservation of which causes portions of the painting to fall off and the preparatory drawings behind to appear. For Meoni, the gaps and sinopias represent a reflection on the further, veiled space that nevertheless illuminates the entire composition.
