La Notte d'Isabella - historical re-enactment in Cerreto Guidi
On Saturday 5 and Sunday 6 July 2025 Cerreto Guidi recreates the atmosphere of the 16th century and brings to the streets the great loves of Isabella de'Medici: music and the arts. The historic centre will go back in time to July 1576, in a festive atmosphere for the arrival of Isabella, Cosimo I's favourite daughter, to join her groom at the Medici villa. For two days, all kinds of period performances take place, until the news of Isabella's mysterious death in Cerreto on 16 July 1576.
Within the walls of the 16th century village, nobles and commoners, ancient knights and scenes of everyday life, historical games, ancient crafts, Renaissance music and dances, falconers, sword and crossbow feats, fire and flag games will move.
The complete programme will be available on the event website
