Granfondo Cicloturistica del Mugello - Cyclotourism permanent route

The Metropolitan City of Florence
By walk & by bike

The track of the Granfondo Cicloturistica del Mugello bike race becomes a permanent route, suitable for every cyclist, cyclotourist, or anyone who is familiar with cycling and wishes to ride in evocative places, in touch with nature and across picturesque hamlets. You can cover the 120 km and about 2300 mt of difference in height of the GFM independently, at any time of year and with any type of bike.

In fact there are no competitive aspects or set times to cover the route, that can be finished in one or more days, according to physical training and the desire to stop and enjoy the landscape and everything else that the area offers its visitors. The itinerary is rather challenging and crosses a good part of the Mugello and upper Mugello areas.

Along the whole route there are dining and hospitality facilities that can host those who want to cover the route over several days.

At the end of the bike ride you can obtain the “patent” or the “certificate of participation” depending on the type of registration.

The initiative is promoted by the Unione Montana dei Comuni del Mugello and by ASD Mugello Toscana Bike, which also takes care of the organisational aspects.
