Formerly the oratory of Palazzo Vescovile, the chapel dates to the first half of the 11th century and is decorated with a large fresco by Bicci di Lorenzo of the Coronation of the Virgin with Angels and Saints (c.1440). It also houses a collection of liturgical objects from the 12th to the early 20th century, offering a representative sample of religious goldsmith’s art in the Florentine area.
The chapel is not open to visitors.
