In the rear spaces of the great Basilica of Santa Croce, discover the Garden of Francis: a true ode to creation and the beauty of nature.
In every Franciscan convent and church, there has always been a garden for the sustenance of the friars, but an area was left uncultivated to allow Mother Nature the opportunity to freely and spontaneously offer her fruits. The Garden, arranged in the apse spaces with elevated boxes and lawns, follows a philological accuracy derived from botanical and phytotherapeutic texts of the time.
The space, set up in collaboration with Aboca, is a place of peace and great beauty, allowing one to admire the Franciscan Basilica from an unusual perspective. Admission is free, with access from Via San Giuseppe.
