From Friday 21 to Sunday 23 February 2025, one of the best-loved musicals returns to the Verdi Theatre, succeeding in the feat of gathering entire generations of families at the theatre.l: Cats.
With the Italian adaptation and direction by Massimo Romeo Piparo, this version sees on stage a great cast of artists, a live orchestra, music, dance, but also illusionism and magic with special effects entrusted to the cat-wizard Mr. Mistoffelees.
For the first time in the world, Cats will be set in Rome, in a hypothetical and futuristic ‘dump’ of works of art, of archaeological finds, with the Colosseum in the background, amidst statues of Marcus Aurelius, fragments of the Mouth of Truth, capitals, columns and other finds, all magnified to make the humanisation of cats even more spectacular and magical.
