Active since: 1993 Areas of interest: Contemporary art
Active in Florence’s historic centre for 24 years, Immaginaria specialises in promoting such artistic currents as contemporary informalism and classical abstraction. It hosts exhibitions not only of known artists, from Achille Perilli to Bernard Aubertin, and from Hermann Nitsch to Giosetta Fioroni and many others, but also of emerging talents, whose works it also takes to important fairs in Italy and abroad. ‘The objective of our spaces is to enhance time, removing it from the increasingly confused rhythm of daily life. This space functions as a means for getting to know and to explore worlds that communicate and cooperate with each other, worlds which increase the intensity and quality of our experiences’. The gallery is a place for lively encounters, dialogue and exchange between the various arts, a stage for many initiatives, events, exhibitions and collaborative undertakings among artists and writers.
