This ancient palace, originally designed by Gherardo Silvani in the seventeenth century, houses an extraordinary pictorial cycle by Sebastiano Ricci, an undisputed protagonist of Italian Rococo in the early eighteenth century; the monumental rooms on the ground floor are embellished with elegant stucco work by Baratta. Currently housing the Department of the University of Florence, it is opened to the public only on rare occasions.
