Figline and Incisa Valdarno is preparing to host the fifth edition of THiNK Festival, the event dedicated to digital culture and technological innovation, scheduled from 16 to 18 May 2025. A well-established event, promoted by the municipality, which aims to offer an opportunity for in-depth study, entertainment and reflection on topical issues such as artificial intelligence, augmented reality, social media, gaming and web security.
For three days, the historical centre of Figline will be transformed into a large open-air laboratory, with events and activities distributed over a large area between Palazzo Pretorio, Teatro Garibaldi, Piazza Ficino and the Marsilio Ficino Library. The programme will include conferences with experts in the field, workshops for children and young people, a gaming area with latest-generation consoles and retrogaming, immersive experiences in virtual reality, and social moments with street food.
Among the new features of this edition is an augmented reality project in a cultural and historical key, which will allow citizens and tourists to discover the territory's heritage in an innovative and engaging way. The event will be completely free of charge and is aimed at a wide and heterogeneous audience: from experts in the field to the merely curious, from young people to the over 60s.
