The over 100 nativity scenes, made of the most varied materials, will be on display throughout the historic centre from December 1 to January 12 2025; included in the Terre di Presepi circuit, the event in Cerreto, now in its 13th edition, promises to be, on the one hand, faithful to the tradition that has made it known to a wide audience over the years and, on the other hand, full of new features, with the aim of increasing its quality and making it different from the previous edition.
The inauguration will take place on Sunday, 8 December 2024 at 3pm in Piazza Vittorio Emanuele II in the presence of Mayor Simona Rossetti, but already from Sunday, 1 December, the Via dei Presepi will be open to the public with a programme full of initiatives, including theatre performances, workshops, the presence of the Ludobus, concerts, entertainment and musical essays.
Of particular note is the big crocheted Nativity scene, created with great skill and precision by the large group of the Dame dell’Uncinetto.
The Via dei Presepi route of Cerreto Guidi, placed along the path of the Romea Strata, the Jubilee route starting in Friuli Venezia Giulia, was born as an 'Exhibition-Competition' open to all, with no age limit and no limits on creativity, continuing the tradition of the crib competition born in the 1960s.
