Frittelli arte contemporanea opened its doors in Via Val di Marina in Florence in 2006 in the wake of the experience of the Centro d’arte Spaziotempo in Piazza Peruzzi during the 1990s, which hosted a number of exhibitions of modern and contemporary art. Frittelli’s exhibition programme is dedicated to the criticaland philological recognition of Italian art from the 1950s to the present, to the relationship between art and feminism, and to artists with whom it has collaborated from the time of its foundation (these include Georges Adéagbo, Aurelio Amendola, Nanni Balestrini, Vasco Bendini, Vinicio Berti, Gianni Bertini, Tomaso Binga, Umberto Buscioni, Corrado Cagli, Luciano Caruso, Giuseppe Chiari, Riccardo Guarneri, Ketty La Rocca, Lucia Marcucci, Paolo Masi, Luca Matti, Paola Mattioli, Libera Mazzoleni, Luciano Ori, Pino Pascali, Lucio Pozzi and Mimmo Rotella). The gallery is also the seat of the archive of the graphic works of Pino Pascali, the Frittelli archive of the works of Gianni Bertini, and the Frittelli archive for the works of Vinicio Berti.
