In the second half of the 16th century, Bernardo Vecchietti had the park of his villa embellished with an unusual nymphaeum, the Spring of Morgan le Fay, a two-storey building fashioned like a theatre curtain. Inside there is a grotto with a fountain, on which Giambologna’s marble statue of Morgan (now lost) once stood.
