In the deconsecrated Church of San Pancrazio are 184 works by the sculptor Marino Marini (1901–1980), arranged according to the artist’s instructions about the choice of materials and the natural lighting of the rooms.
Laid out on more than one floor, the works include sculptures in bronze and cement, polychrome plasters and canvases, portraits and drawings. Exhibitions of work by 20th-century and contemporary artists are held periodically in the crypt.
To the museum belongs also the temple of the Holy Sepulchre or Tempietto Rucellai, a work by Leon Battista Alberti, a work from the Renaissance in a modern museum.
