The museum contains information about the activity of the Chini family, who, having started their activity in Borgo San Lorenzo in 1906, was focused on the manufactury of items in ceramics and glass walls. The museum shows the different steps in the manufacturing, special tools and materials.
A section of the Chini Museum is designed and built for families and children: the Children’s Museum is organised into seven rooms, designed using waste materials from the company. The children are free to express their talent, drawing inspiration from 20th century artists and contributing, with their creations, to building an exhibition of creative “traces”.
