On the second floor of Palazzo dei Capitani, which dates to 1385 and was remodelled during the 17th century, is a museum that houses ancient traces of human settlement in the area, even in very rugged, inaccessible places, ranging from prehistoric times through to the Middle Ages. There are items from pre-Roman and Roman settlements, plus materials found in local castles and dating to the 14th–17th centuries.
