In conjunction with the programming of the 87th edition of the Maggio Musicale Fiorentino Festival, from April 30 to June 12, 2025, "Maggio aperto" will take place—a series of concerts that will illuminate not only the Sala Grande and the Zubin Mehta Auditorium but also the Sala Orchestra of the Theatre, which has previously opened its doors to the public in past years.
These spaces will host other prestigious institutions: Orchestra Regionale della Toscana, Amici della Musica di Firenze, Accademia Bartolomeo Cristofori, Giovanni Battista Lulli Institute, Fiesole School of Music, Tempo Reale, Gamo, Cherubini Conservatory, Banda Polverosa, Homme Armé, and Chigiana Academy of Siena. Together with the Maggio Fiorentino, these organizations contribute to the rich musical heritage of Florence and Tuscany.
Kicking off the series on April 30th will be the Accademia del Fortepiano, which will continue with a series of concerts between April and May at the Orchestra Hall, while other concerts will take place at the Metha Hall.
