Florentine New Year on March 25th - historical parade and exhibit of the Brindellone

March 25th - Annunciation Day - holds a special significance in Florence, marking not just a date on the calendar, but the celebration of “Capodanno Fiorentino”, the Florentine New Year.

To celebrate the event, in addition to the traditional Historical Parade of the Florentine Republic, which will depart at 3:15 PM from Palagio di Parte Guelfa, the location where the famous Easter Cart, known as Brindellone, is kept will be exceptionally open to the public. Between 10:00 AM and 6:00 PM, explanations will be provided about the various parts that compose it and its operation.

Both events are free and open to all.
