From July to October, in conjunction with the extraordinary afternoon and evening openings, the museum of the Opificio delle Pietre Dure in Florence enriches its cultural offer with a series of concerts curated by the Luigi Cherubini Conservatory and the Musica Harmonica Choir, alongside a series of free guided tours to discover the museum.
A series of classical concerts by Coro Musica Harmonica and Conservatorio Luigi Cherubini is planned during the special openings.
The concerts are free of charge. The museum ticket is required.
On Thursday afternoons in September and October, free guided tours held by the staff of the Institute ( home to prestigious restoration workshops and the Scuola di Alta Formazione e Studio) will show to visitors the works on display in the Museum, which bear witness to the tradition of "commesso in pietre dure " ( a sort of semiprecious stones' mosaic) and the history of the Opificio.
Visits for groups of max 20 people will start every hour. No booking is required: it is simply necessary to join the groups for the guided tour directly on site at the time of access.
