From December 6, 2024, to March 31, 2025, the exhibition La Distanza Ravvicinata, by Lilyana Karadjova curated by Vincenzo Circosta and Giuseppe Giari, is being held at the Brunelleschi Library of the Opera di Santa Maria del Fiore.
On display for the first time are photographs by Bulgarian photographer and art historian Lilyana Karadjova, printed with the cyanotype technique, executed on glass instead of paper. This technique is the result of long research and is intended to express the radiance of the Holy Relics by evoking the Celestial Kingdom with its characteristic blue color.
