Marta Roberti

A new exhibition for the Complex of Sant' Orsola

We know that the Complex of Sant'Orsola, in the San Lorenzo district of Florence, is a worksite of projects, still in progress, but not for this reason uninteresting: with Rivelazioni, in fact, it is ready for its second exhibition, after the highly successful one in June 2023.

The exhibitions at Sant'Orsola are the result of an art residency programme curated by Morgane Lucquet Laforgue. in 2023 Sophia Kisielewska-Dunbar and Alberto Ruce; in 2024 Juliette Minchin and Marta Roberti.

The 2024 title is Revelations. In two different spaces of the site, two spaces each, the two artists have created site-specific works of art. If Marta Roberti has realised drawings that, due to the delicacy of the line and the large format, almost seem to emerge from the bare, rough walls of the complex, Juliette Minchin has instead created wax installations in the space of the archaeological excavation. The wax, formed into thin panels, is the star of this highly suggestive exhibition.

Revelations starts on June 28: for more details on the new, unmissable opening of the space, read on the dedicated event page..
