Would you like a unique piece of jewellery, or a piece of pottery from the Far East, or how about hand-crafted textiles, handmade clothes, African ornaments? All these objects, and many others, are gathered in the exhibition halls of the Fortezza da Basso, in Florence, where the 89th edition of the International Handicrafts Exhibition, also known as MIDA, is being held from 25 April to 1 May.
The dates are always the same, for an appointment with handicrafts that attracts droves of Florentines, but also tourists passing by, who want to take home a unique souvenir of their holiday. In the pavilions of the Fortezza there are more than 500 exhibitors, so: comfortable shoes, curiosity and the desire to discover new things!
