There are about 70 bookshops surveyed in a pocket-sized publication, in two languages, published by the Municipality of Florence. Entitled Le librerie fiorentine (The Florentine Bookshops), it gives essential information on all these places of culture, meeting and social education, which can be found in all five city districts.
From antique bookshops to those specialising in Japanese manga, from the branches of large Italian publishing groups to small and very small independent ones: they all have their own important role on the city scene.
