Next weekend the GEP (European Heritage Days) return: an important initiative that moreover allows, on the evening of Saturday, September 28, to visit a series of Florentine museums at the symbolic cost of 1 Euro (at other times the ticket will be the usual one). For the occasion in a variety of cultural venues, including those in the surrounding area, guided tours and other activities will be held on both September 28 and 29.
On Saturday, September 28 an extraordinary evening opening for the following museums: the Uffizi, Galleria dell'Accademia, Archaeological Museum and Palazzo Davanzati (h.19-22), Bargello (h. 19-21.50), Museo di San Marco (h. 19-21) and Opificio delle Pietre Dure (h. 19-23). Extended openings, until the evening, also for the Cenacoli di Santa Apollonia and Andrea del Sarto (free admission for both).
Particularly rich is the calendar of guided tours, this weekend, which will take place both in most of the above-mentioned places and at other museums, such as the Orsanmichele Complex, Casa Martelli, the Biblioteca Medicea Laurenziana, The Science and Technology Foundation.
