During the upcoming Christmas holidays 2024, many museums will be open regularly on both the 24th, Christmas Eve, and the 26th. On Christmas Day, however, almost all museums will be closed.
More in detail, all the main state museums (Uffizi, Accademia, Pitti, etc.) are open on the 24th (except for the Medici Chapels) and the 26th. Amongst the civic museums, the Museo Novecento, Palazzo Vecchio and the Santa Maria Novella complex open on the 24th. The latter two, together with the Brancacci Chapel, also open on Boxing Day. On Christmas Day, both Santa Maria Novella (open free of charge from 1 to 5 pm) and Palazzo Strozzi will be visitable.
For an overview please consult the summary of all the openings on 24, 25 and 26 December; for the other days the canonical Museum Timetable applies. The timetable for the holidays of 1 and 6 January 2025 will soon be available in the download area.
