After a long restoration period, since May 16th, the Brancacci Chapel in the Church of the Carmine, a Renaissance masterpiece frescoed by Masaccio, Masolino and Filippino Lippi, is once again open in all its beauty. The restoration site, which in any case made it possible for visitors to admire these frescoes at close quarters, has in fact been dismantled, allowing the overall view of this extraordinary place once again.
Opening hours: every day except Tuesdays, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Sundays from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. (last access allowed at 4.15 p.m.). The chapel is part of the Florentine Civic Museums, so tickets can be purchased on the official portal bigliettimusei.comune.fi.it. or directly at the ticket office in Piazza del Carmine 14.
Guided tours can be booked by e-mail (cappellabrancacci@musefirenze.it), by telephone (+39 055 2768224), or at the ticket office. Tours are scheduled on Mondays, Fridays and Saturdays at 11 a.m., 12 p.m., 2 p.m., 3 p.m., 4 p.m., Sundays at 2 p.m., 3 p.m., 4 p.m.
